How to play
The king of board games, made friendly for children. Tap a piece and dots show where it can go. Learn how each piece moves with the little lessons, then play the computer from Easy, a gentle first opponent, up to Expert, a real challenge even for grown-ups. Ask the light bulb for a good move, take back a mistake, or play a brother, sister or friend on the same device or online.
- Tap a piece: dots show where it can go, rings show what it can take. Tap a dot to move, or drag the piece.
- Checkmate wins: attack the other king so that it has no way out.
- “Learn the pieces” shows how each piece moves, and the special moves: castling, promotion and en passant.
- Stuck? The light bulb shows a good move, and the arrow takes back a move.
- 2 players: tap “2 players” and take turns on the same device. The arrows button turns the board round.
- Online: tap “Online with friends”, then “Start a game” and send the invite, or type the code a friend sent you.
